Hale: New Past Times
March 21, 2020
It is true Surfjack style to see the flowers amongst the rain, so here are some things to do while you’re inside, all inspired by the swell little spot in Waikiki.
Surf the couch with Elvis: Get comfy, grab a snack, and turn on a great movie. Our favorites are Blue Hawaii, The Endless Summer, and Ride the Wild Surf. These are surf classics if you’re in the mood for a trip back in time (which couldn’t hurt right now). If you’ve visited us before, you’ll know we play these films every night above our famous, ‘Wish You Were Here’ pool!
Namaste at home: Gyms are closed and summer is right around the corner?! No need worry, our girl Diana Ho got you. Diana hosts her Surf Restore yoga class in our cabanas twice a month, on the second and fourth Wednesday. Her classes aim to challenge you physically, yet soften and create intuitive flow states for healing. While she’s unable to lead in-person practice with us, she’ll be live streaming her classes via Zoom – give her a follow @dianahoyoga on Instagram for more details!
Take shots! Wellness ones, of course: Mahina & Sun’s very own, Karissa Escobosa is one of our beloved bartenders, and whips up the best wellness shots perfect for boosting immunity. Here’s her recipe for you to make at home:
Honey (bonus points if it’s Mānoa Farm’s honey!)
Stay healthy during this time of awareness, we can’t wait for the brighter days ahead. Until then, take care and a hui hou!
