Surfjack Talk Story Sessions: Talk Back with Surf Filmmaker Taylor Steele

Named one of surfing’s “Ten Most Influential People” by SURFER, director Taylor Steele’s two decades of experience and 25 award-winning films continue to challenge and redefine the ways we see, think about and experience the art of surfing. His production company Poor Specimen has launched the careers of some of surfing’s most influential figures and has played a role in the success of musicians such as Blink-182, Pennywise and Jack Johnson.

In partnership with the Honolulu Museum of Art’s annual Honolulu Surf Film Festival, the Surfjack presents a special “Talk Back” session with Taylor, exploring his career and the future of surf filmmaking. His film Proximity will premiere on July 1 of the Surf Film Festival.
