Enjoy listening to a selection of hand curated vinyl by the folks at Aloha Got Soul, a record label and DJ crew specializing in rare and relatively unknown Hawaiian, soul, funk, and beyond. Hawaii local Roger Bong founded Aloha Got Soul in 2010. He shares his findings on his blog-turned-record label, often interviewing artists and retelling their stories through blog posts and mixtapes. His dedication to digging up obscurities from Hawaii’s contemporary musical past has caught the attention of DJs and record collectors around the world: from London, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Paris and Rio De Janeiro.
